The key quote from Mustafa Suleyman, in full:

I think that with respect to content that’s already on the open web, the social contract of that content since the ‘90s has been that it is fair use. Anyone can copy it, recreate with it, reproduce with it. That has been “freeware,” if you like, that’s been the understanding.

A very convenient opinion. In 2024 it's ok for big corporations to take the content from any number of people sharing it online even if copyright expressly forbids it! Not like 1999, where if you use Napster it's definitely not ok for any number of people sharing songs from big corporations because copyright expressly forbids it.

Hmm.
